June 2-June 6

This is our last full week, and boy is it a busy one! On Tuesday, the students will go through the Ellis Island experience (don't forget to dress like an immigrant). On Thursday, they will take a 50 question citizenship test (see blog flashcards and/or study guide handed out on Monday). Friday, the students will visit Nordhoff High School (please turn in permission slip).

May 27 - May 30

This week we will continue to work on our Ellis Island simulation. The students will be creating their passports and official papers. They will also learn about one of America's most iconic symbols, the Statue of Liberty.
